What I got last Christmas

Hello fellow bloggers!

Yes, this is a late post of what I got last Christmas. Anyway, I just wanna share it with you guys. These are small things but I really appreciate them. :D 

I'm looking forward to finish this book. This  book was very pricey, it cost Php 900.00 but we got it for Php 300.00 something. I'm looking forward to finish this book! I love reading!

We bought this nail polish at a regular prize. I love the rainbow effect of this flakies. I asked my hubby to buy this for e because flakies are so IN right now. I love it! I will swatch this and make a blog about it. :D

This is the other polish... Addition to my collection.. These nail polishes are the last polishes that I'm going to buy. I'll try not to buy anymore coz I have plenty already. :) I love this color. My mom likes it too.

Another addition to my Living Dead Dolls Collection. They are Goria and NoHell. I will also make a blog post for them.. Anyway, Goria is from the latest series which is Series 22. The dolls from that series are zombies... While NoHell is a limited edition doll for Christmas. :D

Michael Jackson Nail Art

Happy Birthday MJ!

This nail art is dedicated to my idol.

On my previous blog about my new haircut, you saw Glecy again for the second time.. Hehe, I hope she'll be a regular guest here on my blog. Anyway, she's a Michael Jackson fan too. I'm sure she's on her way to MJ's Birthday celebration right about now (there are lots of MJ fans here in the Philippines). He died but his fame and memories still lives. 

There's an event today for MJ and I designed a Michael Jackson Nail Art for Glecy. She said that other MJ fans will be jealous of her, hahaha!

At home...

Glecy had a hard time removing the nail polish that I used (last week) for her nail art. Hehe. 

 

She did the cleaning.  

 

I painted her nails alternately..

Thumb: Gold BG, "This is it", blue rhinestones at the tip.

Index: Black BG, "Bad" in red underlined lettering.

Middle: White BG, MJ's silhouette.

 Ring: Silver BG, black MJ leterring, silver glitters.

Pinky: Red BG, Jacko's jacket design on "Thriller".

Pam's Pedicure

I don't like going to a salon for a pedicure. The equipments are being used by different people. Eww..

Anyway, this is how I do my pedicure. I'm not a pro but at least I'm sure that my equipments are clean and I'm the only one using it..

                                                                         STEP 1

I removed  my old nail polish gently. Some nail polish are very hard to remove because I put several application (base coat, 2 or more application of my desired nail color and top coat). Since the polish is thick, it's easier to peel it off without damaging my nails.

I used Hortaleza Professional Nail Polish Remover because it's gentle and it doesn't smell awful. It smells like strawberry. Anyway, exposing your nails with acetone regularly is very harmful. It can cause contact dermatitis. Some nail polish has very strong ingredient. That's why I peel my old nail polish so that I won't expose myself with too much acetone.

STEP 2

Using a q-tip with acetone, I removed the remaining polish at the sides of my toenails. 

STEP 3

I soaked my toenails with cuticle remover to soften them. I left it for 2-3 minutes. 

This is a really good trick because after this, it'll be easier for me to remove the dead skin on my nail plate and in-grown toe nails at my nail groove.

STEP 4

Instead of pushing the in-grown and excess skin of my nail towards my eponychium (which mostly do), I pulled it upward so that no in-grown will remain. 

Step 5

I put Benzalkonium Chloride to my nail groove to keep my nails sanitize. This will serve as an anti-septic and disinfectant. It also left pinkish tint to my nails.

STEP 6

I brushed my nails gently to spread the benzalkonium chloride..

All the products were spread evenly. Wow it's so clean!

STEP 7

I applied a colorless nail polish to protect my nail plate. It's up to you if you want to apply a color to your toenails but for me, I left it like this. I want my nails to have a timeout from nail art. He he he. 

Done!

I love it!!!
